The story of Rapunzel's Revenge starts out similar to the original Rapunzel story. However, Rapunzel has a little more interacting with other people. On her twelfth birthday, Rapunzel met her birth mother. Once she learns the truth about the mother that raised her she wants revenge. However, Gothel has her put in a tree that has no way out. Rapunzel spends her time along plotting revenge and strengthening her skills. Once she escapes she is in the really world to fight for herself. She gets mingled up with Jack. Jack and Rapunzel set out across the land to try and get revenge on Gothel and save Rapunzel's birth mother. Along the way they sharpen their fighting skills and help out the less fortunate.

This book is written in a comic strip form. Students who perform comics, action, and/or lots of picture will enjoy this book. It brings a new twist to the folktale of Rapunzel. It is a great for girls to see a female as the main star and hero in the story.
